I voted and I found myself overcome with emotion. I didn't think that the simple act of filling in a circle would affect me as much as it did. If you haven't voted and still have time to vote, then by all means, do so. If you haven't voted and it is too late, then I think you may have missed out on a very singular experience that you will never be able to take part in again.
Like I do every year, I will be watching the election results very attentively. I just hope that all of the people who started paying attention to politics this year will continue to keep an eye on what is going on. A lot of issues were brought up in the past election cycle and for them to be ignored because people are no longer paying attention would be a waste of all of the hope and desire for change that both campaigns brought this year.
